Multiple choice

In this question type students get one question with four or more options as answers. Therefore, students have to choose an accurate answer from the given 4-5 options. Identifying information

In this question type, the candidate will get a series of sentences and ask, “Do the following sentences match the text?” They will then ask to write “true”, “false” or “not given”. Identifying the writer’s views/claims

In this question type, test candidates will receive a series of statements and will ask, ‘Do these statements concur with the writer’s opinions/claims?’ and ‘Yes, No, or Not given?’ on their answer sheets. It’s important to note that ‘No’ means ‘the writer explicitly disagrees with the statement’; ‘Not given’ means that the writer has somewhere expressed the view or made a claim that is ‘contradictory’ to the one in question. In this task, students have to find specific information in the paragraph or section of a text. Moreover, they have to write the letter of the correct paragraph on their answer sheets. In addition, students may not need to look for information in each paragraph, but they may need to look for one or more pieces of information in a particular paragraph. Matching headings

The headings are given to the students, usually depicted by lower-case Roman numerals such as i, ii, iii, etc. A heading refers to the main subject of the paragraph.
